For Patients

Our research is conducted in our newly renovated facility at the Jackson Medical Towers and in the Rosensteil Medical Science Building at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine campus. The Schiff Center’s faculty is dedicated to helping their patients better understand and manage their liver diseases.

Here are some resources to help our patients better understand their disease.

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
The CDC has lots of information about viral hepatitis for patients who wish to educate themselves about their disease.

ClinicalTrials.gov
This is a database compiled by the U.S. National Institutes of Health for all of the clinical trials in the United States. It lists studies that are active and recruiting for patients that wish to see what trials are available nationally.

Liver Transplant: My Story by Bernice Berger Miller
A book by one of Dr. Schiff’s patients explaining her experiences since being diagnosed with hepatitis C through post liver transplant periods. This book is a great resource for any liver transplant patient.
